What kinds of disputes are arbitrable?
According to Article 2 of the Arbitration Law of the People’s Republic of China, contract disputes and other disputes over rights and interests in and/or to properties among equal entities, including citizens, legal persons, and other organizations are arbitrable. Accordingly, disputes submitted for resolution through arbitration must meet the following conditions: 1. the parties to the dispute are equal entities; 2. the subject matter of arbitration is the rights and interests in and/or to properties that the parties have the right to dispose of; 3. the disputes are contract disputes and other disputes over rights and interests in and/or to properties.
